The Perfect Skin Prep Routine
With all of our years of combined experience at Hannah Elizabeth Beauty, we’ve learned a thing or two about how to prep your skin for a consistently flawless makeup application! That’s why we’re spilling a few of our go-to tips, tricks, and products to give you the perfect prep routine at home.
STEP ONE
THE ULTIMATE PREP STEP
Cleansing the skin first and foremost is a no brainer. We prefer to use a gentle yet effective cleanser that’ll not only clear out impurities, but also hydrate. We’re not kidding when we say our favorite cleanser of all time is the Take Off The Day Vitamin Sea Cleanser by Sorella. This cleanser is formulated with an all star cast of naturally derived and organic ingredients. STEP TWO
SAY ADIÓS DEAD SKIN CELLS
Everyone’s first instinct is to reach for a physical exfoliant when they hear that they need to exfoliate. However, that can be really harsh on the skin, especially for daytime use. Our answer to keep your skin full of nutrients while efficiently exfoliating is to use a AHA or BHA rich toner. We totally swoon over the Versed Weekend Glow Daily Brightening Solution. STEP THREE
DEWEY SKIN IS IN
Next up on your pre-makeup to-do list is moisturizing. This has to be our favorite step, because this will really make or break your application. STEP FOUR
NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF PRIMER
The last and possibly most important step in our prep routine. We’re gonna be real – each and every skin type is different and calls for a primer specific for its specific needs. However, I think we’ve cracked the code to the perfect primer. When we say this stuff is good, we mean it. We use it on almost every one of our clients because of its oil free and smoothing formula.
